Teacher Training &
Continuing Education

Since 2021, I have been sharing my knowledge through online yoga teacher trainings with Yoga Six, bringing together the philosophy, principles and practical understanding of yoga.

My approach draws from the Indian roots of yoga, exploring teachings from classical teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Iyengar, Yoga Sutras along side others studies. alongside anatomy, movement and the principles of Ayurveda. I see these as interconnected parts of a larger understanding of yoga — how we move, how we think, how we care for ourselves and how we live.

My intention is to help students look beyond the physical practice, develop a deeper understanding of yoga and bring its teachings into their own lives and teaching.

A Reflection of Trust

I remember when I was deciding on whether I wanted to start a YTT program, I told myself I would sign up only if Shivani would be my instructor. I truly owe my entire yoga journey to Shivani.  Her passion for yoga and teaching is contagious, and I will always look up to her. I am so grateful to have met her and aspire to leave the same impact on people as she does.

Shivani is one of the most supportive, inspiring, and dedicated people I’ve ever met. She has an intentional way of helping others see their own strengths and potential, even when they can’t see it themselves. Through her guidance and mentorship, I gained confidence not only in my yoga practice and teaching, but also in myself. She taught me the importance of intention, authenticity, and presence both on and off the mat. I feel incredibly grateful to have connected with her during my training and truly lucky to continue learning from her as I begin my journey as a yoga teacher.

“I completed gentle Yoga teacher training with Shivani during the 2021 lockdown through Zoom, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. She has a deep understanding of traditional B.K.S. Iyengar yoga and its philosophy, and she guided me with calmness, patience, and compassion throughout the entire journey. Her mentorship motivated me not only in my practice but in many aspects of my life. Yoga became a deeper spiritual connection for me because of her teachings. I am now a yoga coach in Delhi, India, and I am truly grateful for Shivani’s guidance.”
